The director Charlie Bean, who directed animated series "Tron: Uprising", has been roped in for helming the project, reported Ace Showbiz.
The producers of "The Lego Movie", Dan Lin and Roy Lee, would be jointly producing the spin-off along with the original directors of the movie, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
In the upcoming film, exciting characters like ninjas, samurais and senseis would be teaming up together to take down dragons, armies of snake men and an evil warlord.
The story is penned by Dan and Kevin Hageman, who had previously received credits in the 'Lego Movie'.
