Aimed at promoting rural entrepreneurs and artisans, city-based National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) will hold the 17th rural technology and crafts mela at its campus from November 29.
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will inaugurate the five-day mela on November 29.
The theme of this year's mela is "Women Entrepreneurship" and in line with it over 400 women SHG entrepreneurs from 25 states will showcase their work, NIRDPR Director General W R Reddy said on Wednesday.
"Such melas offer an effective platform for promoting products of rural artisans, craftsmen, SHGs and rural entrepreneurs.
It is an opportunity for people to appreciate and support the initiatives of talented women entrepreneurs from rural areas," Reddy added.
