The Nitish Kumar government in Bihar today effected changes in mid-level bureaucracy by transferring 93 officers across the state.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration department, 93 officers of Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) level were transferred.
The transfer on such a large scale was seen as part of Nitish Kumar's preparation for the coming Bihar elections due later this year.
Anil Kumar Rai has been made SDO Patna City. Sudhir Kumar was transferred as SDO at Biharsharif from the same position in Sonepur, the notification said.
Kamlesh Kumar Singh, SDO Dhamdaha in Vaishali district has been transferred to Patna, it said.
With the crucial Bihar polls nearing, more transfers of officials were on the cards.
