Nitish not impressed by Kerala saying prohibition in 10 years

Not impressed by Kerala's assertion that it would implement prohibition in 10 years, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today found no rationale in it and said liquor ban should be enforced rightaway.
"It's not done like this if it has to be enforced it should be done rightaway," Kumar said at the closing function of 19th National Junior Boys and Girls wrestling competition.
Talking about the successful implementation of liquor ban in Bihar, Kumar appealed to wrestlers and sports lovers to spread the message of prohibition in every nook and corner of the country.
The Bihar CM said critics drew attention towards loss of around Rs 5,000 crore annually to the state due to prohibition.

"But, I do not consider it as a loss because it has saved Rs 10,000 crore of citizens which they are spending on healthy items like milk, sweets and buying clothes," he said.
Kumar talked about mammoth human chain formed on January 21 in support of prohibition and claimed "its possible that around 4 crore citizens participated in the event going beyond expectations."
Kumar said that his government was giving priority to sportsmen in state jobs.
