Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing inspection and certification in infrastructure projects, will carry out the tests of material used in construction and other civil works of viaduct and stations of the metro, a statement issued here said.
While the infrastructure for the laboratory will be provided by NMRC, BVIL will provide its expertise. It will test basic parameters and also carry out advanced tests for durability, chemical analysis, consultation on specialised areas and electrical and mechanical services.
"BVIL will advice NMRC in innovation in concrete mix design and other non-destructive testing of the pier and girders. The services of experienced staff of BVIL will also be used in training, vibration analysis, noise barrier and other environmental mitigation measures," NMRC said.
