He was asked whether many cases of corporate espionage have come to light recently wherein firms have been found involved in influencing the government policy.
Delhi Police and CBI are separately probing cases of corporate espionage, wherein "sensitive" government documents were allegedly leaked from some ministries and could have been sold among others to some corporate houses.
In February, crime branch of Delhi police had arrested several people including consultants, senior executives from top energy firms, junior oil ministry officials and middlemen for allegedly leaking classified government documents to energy companies.
