As the solar panel scam continued to rock the state, Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy today assured that the guilty would not be spared.
"No guilty will be spared. The Government has taken a just stand on the issue," he told reporters at the airport here.
Chandy's former personal assistant Tenny Joppan was arrested yesterday in connection with the scam.
Joppan was found to have made frequent phone calls to Saritha Nair, facing charge of cheating many people of huge sums by offering them solar energy solutions.
Another employee in Chandy's office, Jikkumon Jacob, had resigned earlier this week for his alleged links in the case.
Earlier, Chandy arrived here from Bahrain after receiving the prestigious United Nations Public Service Award from United Nations Under-Secretary General Wu Hongbo.
Chandy had bagged the first place in the category "Preventing and Combating Corruption in the public."
He received the award for the mass contact programme which he had conducted in 2011 after becoming the Chief Minister for the second time.
After his arrival, Chandy attended the Director Board meeting of the Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL) and later left for Thiruvananhtapuram.
Meanwhile, at least 30 activists of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), youth wing of CPI(M), were arrested in Aluva who demanded the Chief Minister's resignation.
