Around 20 unidentified people had torched the costumes and the animal feed kept there for the horses featuring in the period drama.
This is the second such incident that has happened with Bhansali. In January this year, some members of Karni Sena, a Rajput community group, had attacked him and stalled the film's shooting at Jaigarh fort in Jaipur for allegedly presenting "distorted facts" in "Padmavati".
Motwane says he is absolutely against such incidents as people are wrong to assume that they can curb the creative freedom of filmmakers.
Rajkummar Rao, who stars in Motwane's next "Trapped" which releases tomorrow, says violence cannot be an answer to anything.
"There are other ways to solve a problem than vandalise. One should talk it out. Violence is not the answer to anything," Rajkummar says.
