"The Centre should not engage the Naxalites in any dialogue without securing commitment from them to shun their ideology of armed struggle," he said at a function organised by the Rashtriya Swabhiman Andolan in Bihar's Gaya town.
Govindacharya said that the security forces should carry out full throttle operation against the Naxalites without fear of human rights of the ultras, who habitually did not care for the same rights of those people who fall victim to their acts of violence.
The former BJP ideologue also said that coercive action against Maoists could not be the sole means to remove the scourge and emphasised on socio-economic development of the Naxal-affected areas to wean away the local people from the trap of Naxal outfits.
On the emphatic defeat of the JD(U) candidate P K Shahi in Maharajganj Lok Sabha bypoll by over one lakh votes, he said that it was a mandate against the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the JD(U) and their 'hollow' development claims in Bihar.
The electorate have taught a lesson to the NDA for making 'hollow' claim of development, he said and asked the ruling coalition to draw lessons from the heavy defeat of the JD(U) nominee on Maharajganj parliamentary by-poll to the RJD's Prabhunath Singh by over 1.37 lakh votes.
