Kerala government today decided to take stern action against its employees who smoke, consume liquor and use intoxicant products during duty hours.
A circular issued in this regard pointed out that though smoking and use of other drugs were strictly prohibited in educational institutions and government offices, it has come to the notice that employees consume liquor and use intoxicant products during duty time.
Indulging in such activities would be treated as dereliction of duty and stern action would be initiated, it stated.
