Noida Authority to spend over Rs 9,000 crore on development

Land acquisition alone will see an expenditure of Rs 1,300 crore

Noida Authority will spend over Rs 9,000 crore on development activities, including land acquisition, in the financial year 2016-17.

The Noida Board, at its meeting on Monday, approved the proposed expenditure of Rs 9,058 crore.

Land acquisition will see an expenditure of Rs 1,300 crore and another Rs 5,944 crore will be spent on various development works.

Under 2015-16 revised Budget, total receipts are expected to be Rs 6,437 crore.

For 2016-17, the Board proposed receipts of Rs 9,024 crore.

In 2015-16, the expenditure was Rs 6,481 crore and Rs 9,058 crore expenditure is proposed for 2016-17.

An amount of Rs 50 crore will be spent on construction of district hospital at Sector 39.

Other sectors of proposed expenditure are village development (Rs 192 crore), shahid samarak at Nal Garha (Rs 5 crore), Metro rail project (Rs 500 crore), and under-pass and flyovers (Rs 404 crore).

Multi-level parking facilities will be set up at Sector 18, film city and Botanical Garden metro station.
