Nominations filed for standing committee posts in civic bodies

Senior leaders of all the three BJP-led municipal corporations today filed the nominations for the posts of chairman and deputy chairman of their respective standing committees.
In North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), Mohan Prasad Bhardwaj and Virender Babbar filed the nominations for the posts of chairman and deputy chairman of the standing committee, the Corporation said.
Bhardwaj is currently holding the post of the chairman of the NDMC panel.
In East Delhi Municipal Corporation, BJP's Lata Gupta and Dipti Joshi filed the nominations for the post of chairman and deputy chairman of its standing committee, while Anita Sharma and Dharmendra of the party, filed nominations for the positions of chairman and deputy chairman of the rural area committee of the EDMC, the civic body said.

In South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), BJP leaders Radhey Shyam Sharma and Praveen Rajput filed the nominations for the posts of chairman and deputy chairman of its standing committee, the Corporation said.
South Delhi Mayor Subhash Arya earlier held the post of chairman but he resigned after he was elected as the Mayor in the polls held in late April.
Today was the last day for filing their nominations. The elections for the posts would be held on May 22.
