Curfew restrictions were today relaxed between 8 am and 7 pm, Mewat Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Chand Verma said, adding that it would also be relaxed between 8 am and 7 pm tomorrow.
However, no meeting of panchayat or sabha would be permitted during the relaxation period and curfew restrictions would continue after 7 pm, he said.
He appealed to people to maintain peace and do not believe in any rumour, saying the district administration has made all security arrangements for the safety of people.
Violence took place in the town, some 40 km from Gurgaon city, after a truck mowed down two bike-borne men, killing one of them on the spot, police said.
After the mishap, the driver and helper of the truck were thrashed by a mob, sparking communal violence in the area, they said.
