Northern Railway GM interacts with MPs

Continuing with the series of meetings with people's representatives, Northern Railway General Manager AK Puthia today met Lok sabha MPs from Phulpur, Pratapgarh and Faizabad and discussed issues related to railways in their respective areas ahead of Rail Budget.
"MPs gave suggestions to the General Manager regarding improvement of amenities at their respective stations. They also suggested a few proposals for including in upcoming Railway Budget 2016-17," a senior Northern Railway official, who was present during the meeting said.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has instructed all zones to interact with area MPs and public representatives to seek their suggestions as part of the pre-budget exercise.

There was also demand for more trains and stoppages in their areas, he said
Besides MPs, local public representatives were also present in discussion with Northern Railway officials.
Puthia also conducted inspection of Phulpur, Pratapgarh and Faizabad stations of Lucknow Division along with his team of officers.
During the inspection Puthia also inspected level crossings on Prayag-Lucknow section.
