Khedekar said the lack of meaty roles and good scripts have forced him to take a break from Hindi film industry.
"It is a compulsive break. I am not getting good roles in Bollywood... Getting small roles. I am looking out for more and more meaty roles," Khedekar told PTI in an interview.
"I am doing important films but I look forward to get roles in Hindi film industry which have A-listers. I am currently busy with Marathi films and television," he added.
Directed by Kunal Maralkar, the 15-minute-long documentary took the actor down the memory lane.
"I was a rash rider despite the fact that I lost my father to a road accident at the age of five. But I learnt the etiquettes on the road only after the hyper young age was over. Now I am afraid to ride even a two-wheeler," he said.
Having started his career in showbiz in 1990 with Marathi movie 'Jeev Sakha', the Mumbai-based actor also ventured into Bollywood and maintained the balance between regional and Hindi film industry. He also tried his luck in the small screen and acted in serials like 'Imtihaan' and Shyam Benegal's 'Samvidhan'.
"I am back on TV after a long time, almost 15 years, and the reason is 'Kaun Banrga Crorepati'. I am extremely proud that the show happened in Marathi. I wanted to do it," he said.
The actor said comparisons with Amitabh Bachchan are inevitable after stepping into the shoes of the megastar with the quiz show.
"We did complete two seasons of the show and the people have appreciated it. It was a sort of pressure to be in the shoes of Mr Bachchan. He has done seven seasons and I did just two," he said.
