Notices sent to 150 constables for prolonged absence from duty

Notices have been sent to 150 constables, posted at the Police Lines here, who have been absent from duty for considerably long periods of time, a top official said today.
The notices followed an inquiry into the issue.
"An inquiry was conducted into absenteeism among constables posted at the Patna Police Lines. It came to light that 150 constables have not reported for duty for months together, some of them for even a year", DIG, Central Range, Patna, Rajesh Kumar told reporters here.
He said "notices have been sent to all these constables at their permanent addresses with directions to report for duty immediately. If they fail to comply with directions, stern action will follow".
