Notorious criminal booked under PSA in Samba

Police detained a notorious criminal involved in 11 criminal cases under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA), in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Yudhvir Singh alias Bablu is a habitual and notorious criminal, who was involved in 11 criminals cases (five cases in Samba and six in Jammu district), a police officer said today.
Singh was also dealing with supplying of drugs to the youth, in the two districts, he said.
"He not only created terror among the peaceful citizens but also disturbed peace and tranquillity in the area", the officer said.
He said that on September 28, Singh was arrested along with a loaded pistol as he was roaming in Vijaypur town to assassinate a members of his rival group.
Singh was arrested and a case under Arms Act was registered in Police Station Vijaypur against him, he said.
"He was also forming a gang of criminals, expanding it and had become a role model for the youth who were interested in indulging in criminal activities", he said.
Samba Police compiled all the Police record from various Police Stations in Jammu and Samba district and prepared his dossier and got his warrant issued under Public Safety Act (PSA) from District Magistrate Samba, to prevent him from indulging in prejudicial criminal activities, he said.
After the issuance of detention warrant, Singh was detained under PSA and lodged in jail.
