He was acquitted yesterday in the murder case of one Hasin, who was shot dead in police custody when he was being taken to Delhi court from Muzaffarnagar for a hearing in February, 2001, according to prosecution sources.
Sushil was wanted in 13 such cases including that of murder, extortion, attempt to murder and loot, when he was arrested by a Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh police in November, 2012.
The criminal, who carried a reward of Rs One Lakh on his head, was leader of a gang active in Uttarakhand, Delhi and Haryana along with UP and was accused in four murder cases including one of a gram pradhan and two others in police custody.
