NPCI appoints Biswamohan Mahapatra as non-executive chairman

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) today appointed Biswamohan Mahapatra as non-executive chairman for two years, effective today.
He succeeds B Sambamurthy who was the interim chairman. Last month NPCI had appointed Dilip Asbe as its managing director and CEO. ************ Uber Eats to launch in Jaipur and Kochi in February *
Uber Eats, the on demand food delivery app, is set to launch in Jaipur and Kochi by the end of February.
Since its launch in May 2017, Uber Eats has expanded to one city every month and with the addition of Jaipur and Kochi, the service will be present across 10 cities in India.
Uber Eats will launch with over 500 restaurants across both the cities.
Uber Eats was first launched in Mumbai, and has expanded to Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune. It currently has a restaurant network of over 7,000 restaurants across all the cities, it said. ************** JioTV to broadcast Winter Olympic Games *
Reliance Jio's TV app Jio TV today said it has bagged the digital rights in India for the upcoming Olympic Winter Games by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
JioTV will work with IOC to provide comprehensive coverage of the games in India and the events coverage will include live broadcast, highlight packages and repeat programming, it said in a statement.
In addition to working with JioTV, the IOC's multi-platform media destination, the Olympic Channel, will also stream live coverage of the Games in India.

Footwear major Bata India today said it has roped in Indian women's cricketer Smriti Mandhana as the brand ambassador for its brand Power.
The 21-year-old's confident personality coupled with her ability to change the game is what led Bata to identify her as the perfect fit for Power, the company said in a statement.
