NRL pays interim dividend of Rs 31.79 cr to Assam Govt

The Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) has handed over an interim dividend cheque of Rs 31.79 crore for the year 2016-17 to Assam Government for its 12.35 per cent equity shareholding in the company.
The dividend cheque was presented to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal by NRL Managing Director P Padmanabhan here yesterday, an official release said here today.
It was for the second successive time that Interim Dividend was paid by NRL to its shareholders before close of the financial year.
The dividend amount was equivalent to 35 per cent of paid up share capital i.E. Rs 3.5 per fully paid share of Rs 10 per share, the release added.
