Wangdon Wangpan, the Myanmar trained central member (civil) of the outfit surrendered before the DC Tope Bam and SP Rajesh Kumar of the district on Tuesday in a ceremony organized on the occasion, an official release said here today.
Wangpan, who hails from Longsom village in the district, joined the outfit in 2010, the release said.
Responding to a request made by Pongsa Saham, vice chairman of Surrendered Underground Welfare Association Arunachal Pradesh (SUWAAP) for rehabilitation package for the surrendered militant, the DC assured to take up the matter with the state government, in due course for all surrendered militants, the release added.
