Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), coming up near Ahmedabad, is expected to be the first such city in the country.
"Keeping in mind that India's first international finance centre may require a huge skilled manpower, India's leading stock exchange - NSE - has signed an MoU with Ganpat University, Gujarat, for offering degree level programmes," the National Stock Exchange (NSE) said in a statement today.
Earlier, NSE had signed an agreement with GIFT authorities to set up an international exchange in the city.
