New President of the Federation, Subenthung Kithan told a press conference the union was concerned over the influx of Illegal migrants in the state.
He said Naga people need to have one voice and stand together to tackle the issue otherwise "Nagaland will have to face problem like Tripura and Assam, where tribals have been outnumbered by immigrants."
On the Border issue, especially with Assam, he said the newly elected NSF committee resolved to take up the matter with the state to settle the matter so that the Naga people living in the border areas do not continue to suffer.
The NSF would depute a team to meet the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister and Union Human Resource Development Minister to press for the issue.
The team would urge for immediate setting up Engineering and Veterinary institutions, as promised to the team leaders of the last tenure by Union MHRD.
