The three-member NTCA team, which arrived yesterday, has already begun its probe into the death of the tiger at Nainital Zoo recently, Chief Conservator of Forest Digvijay Singh Khati said.
The tiger which had killed two persons in Bailpadav range of Ramnagar forest recently had died at the Nainital Zoo hours after being captured by the forest department, he said.
Animal rights activists had questioned the manner in which the tiger was captured after a video went viral showing the big cat being captured with the help of an earthmover.
The NTCA team is likely to submit its report in a couple of days, Khati said.
