NTPC AGM sentenced to seven years in jail for graft

Officials of Anti corruption branch of the agency had caught the then additional general manager Sushil Kumar Gupta while he was taking Rs 5,000 from a driver of a jeep, prosecution said.
The driver had complained to the agency that the AGM had demanded the money to let him ply his private vehicle in the company.
Special judge S Lal also slapped a fine of Rs 2 lakh on Gupta. PTI Corr SHS
