NTPC and the Jharkhand government today signed a memorandum of understanding for expansion of the Patratu thermal power station and increase in power production.
This came nearly three months after the two sides signed a pact to form a JV.
Union Finance Director I G Kapoor from NTPC and Principal Secretary S K G Rahate of the government of Jharkhand signed the MoU, an official release said here.
As per the earlier agreement signed on May 3, the capacity expansion would be completed in two phases -- 3x800 MW and 2x800MW -- tentatively by 2024/25.
