NTPC wins SCOPE Management and Business Quiz Bonanza

Power major NTPC has won the first-ever business quiz organised by Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) for public sector companies.
The company won the national rounds of SCOPE Management and Business Quiz Bonanza (SMBQB) in which more than 150 teams of different PSUs participated.
SAIL Bokaro Steel Plant and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) jointly bagged the runners up trophy in the national round held here today.
"It is a noble initiative taken by SCOPE. In today's world, knowledge is the most valuable treasure. With the world becoming a global village, we need to stay updated to excel in our fields," said K D Tripathi, Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises.

"In future, we will also try to involve private companies in this quiz to build a healthy competitive environment among the employees of both private and public enterprises," he said.
He added: "Our PSUs are not less than any private concern. The PSUs deposit huge profits to the exchequer and are also better in many aspects, including the CSR programmes they take up."
The quiz came to an end with national-level competition after regional rounds were held at Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore.
