Odisha Khadi and Village Industries Board Chairman Tejeswar Parida today said Odisha's districts like Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh that border Jharkhand were known for bee keeping.
Speaking at the inaugural programme of "Rashtriya Khadi and Saras Mela" here, Parida urged Das for technology exchange, sharing and become partners in the bee-keeping sector.
He also urged Jharkhand Khadi Board Chairman Sanjay Seth to open sales outlets in Bhubaneswar, Puri and Konark as the places attract both inland and foreign tourists.
Stating that the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik favoured cashew production, Pardia also asked Jharkhand to join in it and make cashew processing units.
In his speech, Maharashtra Khadi Board Chairman Vishal said Maharashtra would play the role of a bridge between Jharkhand and Odisha in bee keeping and the three could tie-up in the bee keeping sector.
