Official's manhandling:Omar says Kitchloo's conduct unbecoming

Reacting to the alleged manhandling of a government official by one of his ministers, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today noted that such a conduct is unbecoming of a public representative and the minister has been asked to "amicably" sort out the matter.
CEO of Kishtwar Development Authority Riyaz Choudhary had alleged that on April 18, Minister of State (Home) Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo had slapped him after he could not reach on time at a government function in Kishtwar.
Omar said Kitchloo has been asked to sit down with the official concerned and resolve the matter "amicably" and the minister has assured him that "such incidents will not be repeated in future."

"I told him (Kitchloo) that this (slapping a senior officer) is not the conduct that is becoming of a minister. Whatever be the cause, as a public representative such incidents need to be avoided," Omar said here.
"This is what I told to KAS Officers Association as well. They seem to be fairly satisfied. I had a conversation with the minister, he has understood that this should not have happened and will not be repeated again in future," he said.
Choudhary had alleged that while reviewing arrangements ahead of Chief Minister's rally in his home constituency, Kitchloo had slapped him twice after an argument over the official coming late at the venue.

The official alleged he was beaten by Kitchloo's security staff and supporters.
