Old notes worth Rs 98 lakh seized, 3 held

Three persons were today arrested with Rs 98 lakh in old currency notes of Rs 500 denominations at Nilgiri crossing here.
A police spokesperson said the three arrested persons have been identified as Vikas, Vipin Mishra and Ajay Kumar.
Police have also recovered Rs 98 lakh (in old denomination) from the trio who were trying to get the old notes exchanged.
Meanwhile, in another incident, two persons sustained injuries, when a portion of an under-constructed building structure collapsed.
The injured persons were admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment, the police said.
