 "Omar hits out at Centre, J&K govt over NSA-level talks")
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today accused the Centre and the state government of sabotaging the NSA-level talks by detaining separatist leaders ahead of their meeting with Pakistan's National Security Adviser Sartaj Aziz.
"Mufti(Mohammad Sayeed)-(Narendra) Modi jugalbandi - first I'll detain them, then you detain them and together we'll make sure these talks just don't take place. Wah!" Omar wrote on microblogging site Twitter.
The National Conference working president was commenting on the detention of senior separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah at Delhi Airport as he was on his way to meet Aziz tomorrow.
Omar hit out at the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister saying his claims about opening of Srinagar-Muzaffarabad Road and Indo-Pakistan ceasefire have fallen apart.
"This was the Mufti Syed (sic) who laid claim to the Srinagar-Muzaffrabad road opening & Indo-Pak ceasefire. How the mighty fall!," he said.
Omar said the "agenda of alliance" between PDP and BJP for governance in Jammu and Kashmir has been shredded today.
"Spare a thought for the @BJP4India/@jkpdp 'Agenda for Alliance' well & truly shredded today. May it rest in pieces," he added.
Earlier in the day, Omar had suggested shifting the venue of Indo-Pak NSA-level talks from Delhi to Islamabad to call Pakistan's "bluff".
"Here's a thought - why doesn't the Indian NSA call Pakistan's bluff & shift the venue to Islamabad since both sides are so keen to talk?" he posted on Twitter.
His suggestion came in the wake of uncertainty over NSA-level talks between India and Pakistan following latter's insistence on meeting Hurriyat leaders during Aziz's visit to Delhi.
India has said a meeting between Aziz and the separatists during his visit was not in the spirit of understanding reached between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif in the Russian city of Ufa.
The two leaders had agreed that the NSAs will meet in Delhi to discuss terror-related issues.
