The accused, identified as Subodh Parihar, who was roaming suspiciously near Phoolbagh library was apprehended and questioned, SSP Shalabh Mathur said.
When Subodh couldn't give satisfactory answers during questioning, his bag was searched and fake currency note with face value of Rs 2,95,500 was recovered following which he was arrested, he said.
The accused, a resident of Kanpur Dehat, said that he brought the fake currency notes from Malda district of West Bengal and was to distribute it here, Mathur said
