Fayaz Ahmad Ganai, a resident of Trikanjan, was stopped by a police checking squad at Boniyar, 90 kms from here, last evening and his search led to the recovery of 250 grams of the narcotic substance, a police spokesman said.
He said police party had been deployed in the area on Srinagar-Uri road following information about drug trafficking
A case under NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Boniyar and investigation has been started, the spokesman said.
