Locals found the baby amid some shrubs near a CNG gas and petrol pump in Sector 57 area after they heard it crying.
"A team from the Sector 56 police station reached the spot and admitted the infant to the Artemis hospital. The baby's condition is said to be normal according to doctors," Gurgaon Police's public relations officer, Ravinder Kumar said.
The officer said the infant was abandoned at around 4 am as per initial investigations.
"We are trying to identify the people behind such inhumane behavior. It was fortunate that street dogs did not hurt the child.
