Deputy Inspector General of Police O P Mishra confirmed that one person had died and two others were seriously injured in the blast. "Police have rushed to the spot and the cause of the blast is not known. The details will emerge only in the evening," he added.
Police sources said the blast took place at a house in Chandor village.
A bomb disposal squad was sent to the spot and the area had been cordoned off, sources said.
