Umesh Harijan, a property dealer, had an old dispute with one Kamal, SHO Kotwali Sunil Jhanjhadia said.
Kamal along with his aides, identified as history sheeter Hari Singh, Nikki, and Raj Kumar, attacked Umesh and two others today, the SHO said.
During the clash, someone from Kamal's side opened fire at Umesh, following which he died on the spot, he said.
Four persons have been detained in this connection, Jhanjhadia said, adding, the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.
