Nawada Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sanjay Kumar Pandey said the incident happened near Chandinama village and the deceased has been identified as Ramakant Singh (29).
"Singh was returning with his family to his native place in Bhattha village after visiting Rajgir fair. The driver of the auto-rickshaw lost control of the vehicle and it rolled down into a ditch," Pandey said.
The SDPO added that the injured include seven members belonging to Singh's family and also the driver of the vehicle. Five of the injured have been sent to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), while three admitted to Nawada Hospital.
