One killed, six seriously injured by lightning in Bihar

One person was killed while six others were seriously injured when they were struck by lightning in Araria district of Bihar today.
Forbesganj Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Ajit Kumar Singh said the incident happened at Gauraha Bishunpur village.
"A group of persons, mainly road construction workers, had taken shelter beneath a tree to escape heavy rainfall. Thunderbolt struck the tree and one person identified as Bablu Rishideo (24) died on the spot. Six others were injured," said the SDPO.
The injured have been admitted to Forbesganj Sadar Hospital for treatment.
