One person arrested for fraud

A man from Suratkal who allegedly cheated many persons, including politicians and entrepreneurs, to the tune of several crores of rupees has been arrested, police said.
They said the accused, identified as Sheikh Mansoor, arrested yesterday.
He was produced before the court today which remanded him to judicial custody.
An arrest warrant had been issued earlier by the court in connection with 11 cases of fraud registered in Suratkal police station.
During interrogation he had confessed to have cheated a few political leaders of Hassan. He was also wanted in connection with cheating a woman Congress leader and several others in the district, the sources said.
