Vaidyanathan Prakash alias Balkrishna Iyer was arrested from Nizampet here on January 24 after which the police seized his laptop and data card used for committing the offence, CID Additional DGP T Krishna Prasad said here today.
Prakash, an engineering graduate from Chennai, confessed that he is habituated to a lavish livelihood and began cheating to earn easy money.
Allegedly, he cheated various organisations and individuals in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala, with forged documents after collecting deposits online, the CID chief said.
