Amid reports of an outbreak of gastroenteritis, the district collector today said not all people are affected by gstro.
"Over 1,000 patients have approached the government hospital in Aurangabad city since Saturday. The common complaint is of stomach ache and it is caused due to water contamination in Cantonment area in Aurangabad city," District Collector Navalkishor Ram told PTI today.
He said not all patients are suffering from gastro.
"The repair works of a pipeline is going on in Cantonment area of the city. There was some contamination in drinking water in the region, which led to people complaining of stomach ache," Ram said.
"Doctors have examined the patients and provided medicine. None of them is serious. Most of them have been discharged from time to time," the collector added.
