Over 1,300 cases of cattle smuggling at Indo-Bangla border:MHA

As many as 1,319 cases of cattle smuggling have been reported at Indo-Bangladesh border in the first 20 days of this year, Lok Sabha was informed today.
A total of 41 smugglers were arrested in connection with these cases, Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said in a written reply to Lok Sabha.
About 20,900 such cases were reported last year in which 670 smugglers were arrested, he said.
"During the year 2016, total three cases of connivance were reported against Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, in which staff court of inquiry has been initiated," Rijiju added.
