As 10,155 candidates, including 14 differently abled persons, received appointments orders, 14,503 persons would undergo skill upgradation training in various establishments, out of over one lakh participated, official sources said.
Some 938 persons have registered their names to take up assignments abroad, they said.
State rural industries and labour minister, P Mohan said that about 83.35 lakh have registered their names in the employment exchange in Taml Nadu.
However, they cannot be considered as job less, since 61 lakh of them were those who had either passed Xth Standard or Plus two in the last four years and likely to pursue higher education, he said.
Municipal administration minister, S P Velumani, said that 46,000 have received appointment orders through job fairs at Madurai, Vellore, Tanjavur, Dharmapuri, Tiruchirapalli, Villupuram, Salem, Namakkali and Thoothukudi districts.
