"As per the information available with the department, over 26,850 industrial units are registered in the state," Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga said in a written reply in Legislative Assembly here.
He also added that 49,428 skilled and 43,884 unskilled local persons are engaged in these units.
"As per the government order, there shall be a 55 per cent cumulative share of local employees in all categories in a unit with a minimum increase of 5 per cent every year to eventually reach 90 per cent-level in units having more than 15 employees," Ganga said.
