Over 3 lakh children given polio drops in Punjab

Over 3.38 lakh children of migrant population across Punjab were today administered polio drops under the sub-national immunization campaign.
"As many as 8,000 teams were constituted and about 800 supervisors were appointed to manage the immunization programme in the state," an official spokesman of state health department said.
Adequate steps were being taken to cover maximum migrants like labour, slum dwellers, labour in under construction buildings, railway stations, bus stands as these places were more vulnerable to infections, he said.
