: Unaccounted cash totalling Rs 3.30 crore has been seized from a businessman, Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said Friday.
A sum of Rs one crore was found in a vehicle reportedly belonging to the businessman and Rs 2.30 crore in sacks at his residence during searches on Thursday, he told reporters here.
However, no arrest has been made, and the seized money would be handed over to the income tax department, Kumar said.
Since March 10 when the model code of conduct came into effect for the April 11 general elections, Rs 9.45 crore has been seized, he added.
