A 25-year-old burglary case convict, who was on the run since he broke out of the Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai in October, 2019, was nabbed from neighbouring Palghar district, police said on Saturday.
Rajesh Jadhav, who was undergoing sentence in the burglary case, had escaped from the jail on October 11, a police officer said.
Jadhav had been evading arrest by frequently changing his locations since his escape, he added.
He was nabbed from Nalasopara in Palghar district on Thursday on a tip-off, and was handed over to Kharghar Police in Navi Mumbai.
The jail is located in Taloja near Kharghar.
