Of the Rs 8,554 crore budget allocated for it under the plan expenditure, the Home Ministry has utilised Rs 4,042 crore or over 47 per cent during April-September period this year.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh today reviewed the expenditure made by his Ministry during the first six months of this financial year, an official release said.
The Home Ministry's budget utilisation under plan head in the first six months has increased from 17.73 per cent in 2011-12 to 32.11 per cent in 2014-15 and 47.25 per cent in the current financial year, the release said.
