General Raheel Sharif visited the province after last week's killing of 20 workers by Baloch nationalist militants fighting for greater control over the resources of the province.
"The army chief warned foreign states and intelligence agencies against trying to destabilise Pakistan by supporting terrorists in Balochistan," said a military spokesman.
The army chief said that the militants would be defeated comprehensively. He vowed to "unearth terrorists, abettors, sympathisers and financiers".
"None will find a place in the country to hide. We will go to any length for writ of the state," he said.
Balochistan is facing an armed insurgency by Baloch nationalists who target civilians and security forces.
The army chief and the military spokesman did not specify any country for 'interfering' in Balochistan but officials privately often blame India and Afghanistan for creating trouble in the province.
Following the killing of the workers, Balochistan's Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti had accused Indian intelligence agency RAW of supporting militants in the province.
