Pak NSA calls for unity among world's Muslims to fight terror

Pakistan's National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz said today that Muslim countries should forge unity to fight the threat of extremism and terrorism.
Radio Pakistan reported that Aziz was addressing the 6th Think Tanks Forum of Islamic Countries in Islamabad.
He said there is need to change the perception of Islam in the world and it needs joint efforts by the think tanks of the Muslim world.
Aziz said resolution of disputes, including Palestine and Kashmir, are the most important issues which can change the perception of Muslims in the world.
He said stability in Middle East and African Muslim countries through resolving political disputes and increasing development would also pave the way for the unity and strength of Muslims.
He said there is need to change the perception of Islam in the world and it needs joint efforts by the think tanks of the Muslim world.
The Think Tanks Forum of the Islamic Countries with its secretariat in Istanbul is a biannual gathering of the representatives of think tanks from Muslim countries across the world.
